One reason I have a stand-alone is to maintain discipline...

do all my banking from the one protected site. The banks are pretty good about this also, they recognize the one computer or ask me if this is a safe computer type stuff if they don't recognize it.

Also, it is just good to have a clear head when you deal with stuff like that. Saturday morning, get yourself a cup of coffee, a list of things you want to accomplish today eg, move funds etc. and do it slowly and carefully. close browers after you're done.

Now, right now I'm at a hotel in Blacksburg and will only use the laptop for a) TSL, b) look for restaurants c) hiking destinations type stuff. I might do email, but that's my secondary email no banking on that.
